Thanksgiving Meal Needs List

A big thanks to all of the volunteers and donors who came out to help us serve over 1000 men, women, and children a hot Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday the 25th. We had over 200 roasted and sliced turkeys donated as well as all the stuffing, yams, green beans, and cranberry sauce to make a complete Thanksgiving meal.

Despite the economic downturn the mood here was generally joyful. We try to make Loaves & Fishes an oasis for our homeless guests from the hard reality of not having a home. As people entered our dining room they were greeted by the smell of hot turkey and yams, a room full of fall decorations, and the smiling welcoming faces of our volunteers. For those with nothing, just a hot meal and warm seat can bring incredible joy and hope.
